TÜBİTAK BİLGEM Signature on SARP Remote Controlled Weapon Systems

Reality of SARP remote-controlled weapon systems (UKSS) ZamIntegration with Instant Operating System (GIS) has been completed

ASELSAN, SARP remote-controlled weapon systems (UKSS) ZamIt has been reported that the integration with the Instant Operating System (GIS) has been completed. Reality developed by TÜBİTAK BİLGEM ZamIt was announced in 2017 that the Instant Operating System (GIS) would be used in the Sarp weapon system.

In the bulletin, the actual used in remote-controlled weapon systems of ASELSAN zamIt was stated that the happy ending has been reached in the ongoing work for the localization of the instant operating system. It was stated that the first systems with GIS integrated with Sarp UKSS were delivered to the customer. It has been announced that Sarp works entirely with national software, with the aim of reducing foreign dependency and expanding the use of domestic products.

SARP Remote Controlled Weapon System Features

SARP, one of the members of the ASELSAN UKSS product family, today meets the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces, Gendarmerie General Command and General Directorate of Security, by being produced entirely with local and national resources. Providing a high hit rate on land platforms, SARP was developed for small and medium caliber weapons. Combining effective firing power with precise reconnaissance capability, the SARP system can be used both against air and land threats in tactical land vehicles, as well as against asymmetric threats in residential areas and fixed facilities, thanks to its light and low profile turret.

Thanks to its thermal and TV cameras and laser range finder, SARP produces ballistic solutions with high accuracy and can be used in day / night conditions. In addition to these features, SARP, which has firing line and line of sight stabilization, automatic target tracking and advanced ballistic algorithms, can shoot and direct with high precision while in motion. With the export to a European country for the first time in 2020, the number of countries served by SARP increased to six.
