Passenger car exports exceeded 2,5 billion dollars

According to the compilation of information from the Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters Association, the passenger car cluster constituted 2024 percent of the automotive industry's 9 billion 132 million 431 thousand dollars of foreign sales in January-March 28,2.

Passenger car exports, which were 3 billion 2 million 625 thousand dollars in the first 457 months of last year, decreased by 1,7 percent to 2 billion 578 million 961 thousand dollars in the same period this year.

Passenger cars were sent from Turkey to 73 countries, autonomous and free regions in the first quarter of the year.

58,5 PERCENT INCREASE IN PASSENGER CAR EXPORT TO ITALY

Exports to France, which is the country where the most passenger cars are sold in the 3-month exports of sector representatives, decreased by 11 percent compared to the same period last year, falling to 410 million 415 thousand dollars.

Exports to Italy, where 2023 million 225 thousand dollars of passenger cars were exported in January-March 304, increased by 58,5 percent in the same period this year, reaching 357 million 286 thousand dollars.

The United Kingdom ranked third in passenger car exports in the first quarter of the year with 9,64 million 328 thousand dollars, an increase of 331 percent.

Exports of 3 billion 1 million 96 thousand dollars to France, Italy and the United Kingdom in 32 months corresponded to 42,5 percent of the total passenger car exports.

In passenger car exports, Germany ranks 12,71th with 244 million 611 thousand dollars, an increase of 4 percent.

Industry representatives exported passenger cars worth 185 million 353 thousand dollars to Spain, 148 million 545 thousand dollars to Poland, and 100 million 57 thousand dollars to Slovenia.

HIGH RATE EXPORT INCREASES WERE EXPERIENCED TO ALGERIA, AUSTRALIA AND EGYPT

There were remarkable increases in exports to some countries and autonomous regions in the passenger car group.

Exports to Algeria, which were 2023 million 8 thousand dollars in the January-March period of 12, increased by 441 percent to 43 million 372 thousand dollars in the same months of this year.

Exports to Australia increased by 638 percent, from 2 million 678 thousand dollars to 19 million 774 thousand dollars, and to Egypt increased by 816 percent, from 2 million 86 thousand dollars to 19 million 130 thousand dollars.
