Delivery of the first domestic and national driverless metro vehicle was made

The first domestic and national driverless metro vehicle developed by Bozankaya was delivered. Domestic driverless metros will serve on the Gebze-Darica metro line.

A total of 4 metro vehicles will be produced in 7 sets, each consisting of 24 vehicles. The first set of four vehicles was delivered after the completion of manufacturing and factory tests.

Produced with a local rate of 70 percent

The metro vehicle, which is produced with a 70% domestic rate, has a service speed of 80 kilometers and a passenger capacity of 1476. Works such as design, engineering and project management were carried out entirely with domestic resources. Many components of the vehicle such as bogie, passenger information, signaling, lighting, air conditioning units, TV systems are produced in Turkey.

Environmentally friendly and spacious interior

The vehicle, which was developed as environmentally friendly, focused on energy consumption efficiency and created a spacious interior. In addition, equipment such as bicycle and scooter binding areas and charging units have been added. Low-maintenance and easily accessible equipment was chosen because low cost was targeted in the maintenance and operation process.

2023 more sets will be delivered by the end of 7

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu said, “We are now excited and proud to take it out of the factory and send it to the field. We plan to receive the remaining 6 sets as 2 sets, starting from October until the end of 2023.” said.
