A Look into the Electric Future from BMW: Vision Neue Klasse
BMW will take an important step towards its electric future with the Vision Neue Klasse concept, which it will introduce on September 2. This concept represents the brand's new electric vehicle platform and will reflect the brand's future design and technology trends.
The new teaser video focuses on the front grille of the concept. The grille is black in color and equipped with unique lighting that mimics the movement of breathing. The lights are progressively shrinking at the top of the grille and are illuminated at the bottom "while inhaling" and extinguished at the top "while exhaling". This detail also coincides with the statement “Breathe innovation, breathe transformation” in BMW's social media post.

BMW plans to quickly launch six new models on the Neue Klasse electric vehicle platform. These models are 24 months old. zamwill be put on the market sequentially within the time frame. While the platform is expected to support the sedan model first, a compact SUV model will follow. These new generation vehicles will draw attention with new technology and features brought while digitizing the driving experience.
The Neue Klasse platform will be capable of supporting vehicles ranging from 268 to 1,314 horsepower. Battery packs will vary between 75 and 150 kilowatt hours. These vehicles will carry BMW's Gen 6 battery technology, which promises to reduce production costs by 50 percent while maintaining the same zamIt will instantly provide a 30 percent improvement in range.
