Alfa Romeo has published images of the new B segment B-SUV model, which it plans to launch in 2024. This model, whose name is not yet known, will share the same platform with the Jeep Avenger and Fiat 600, but will reflect Alfa Romeo's unique design language.

Common points with Jeep Avenger and Fiat 600

Alfa Romeo's new B-SUV will be mechanically related to the Jeep Avenger and Fiat 600. Both of these models use Stellantis' CMP platform and have similar dimensions. The Avenger is 4084 mm long, 1780 mm wide and 1520 mm high. The Fiat 600 is slightly larger, 4171 mm long, 1780 mm wide and 1520 mm high. Both models have a wheelbase of approximately 2560 mm.

Electric and hybrid options

Alfa Romeo's new B-SUV model will be offered with electric and hybrid options. The electric version will use the same engine and battery pack as the Jeep Avenger and Fiat 600. This package consists of a 154 horsepower electric motor and a 54 kWh capacity battery. When fully charged, it offers a range of 400 km in the WLTP cycle. Jeep showed off a twin-engine Avenger 4×4 Concept, but it is not yet clear whether this concept will go into production.

The hybrid option will be supported by a three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline unit used by the Avenger. This unit will reduce fuel consumption and emissions thanks to mild hybrid technology.

A different design approach

Alfa Romeo's new B-SUV model will have a different design approach than the Jeep Avenger and Fiat 600. Rendered images published for Alfa Romeo's entry-level model show that this model will carry the characteristic features of the brand. At the front, the iconic triangular grille and slim headlights attract attention. On the side, a sporty silhouette and dynamic lines are visible. At the rear, there are LED taillights and dual exhaust outlets.

Alfa Romeo's new B-SUV model aims to increase the brand's competitiveness in the B segment. This model is expected to be introduced and put on sale in 2024.
