According to the data of the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association (ODMD), the total light commercial vehicle market grew by 2023 percent in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period of 25,2, reaching 295 thousand 519 units.

During this period, car sales increased by 33,05 percent to 233 thousand 389 units, and light commercial vehicle sales increased by 2,6 percent to 62 thousand 130 units.

Fiat is the leader in total sales

As of the end of March, Fiat ranked first in total passenger and light commercial sales with 39 thousand 983 units, followed by Renault with 36 thousand 63 sales and Ford with 21 thousand 751 units.

Volkswagen ranked fourth with 18 thousand 587 sales, and Toyota ranked fifth with 17 thousand 589 units.

Renault is at the top in automobile sales

Considering automobile sales, the most sold brand in the 3-month period was Renault with 32 thousand 24 units, followed by Fiat with 23 thousand 892 sales and Chery with 15 thousand 467 sales.

While Toyota ranked fourth with 14 thousand 337 car sales, Peugeot ranked fifth with 12 thousand 980 units.

In the ODMD list, which includes a total of 53 brands, it was seen that all brands except Smart made sales in the first quarter.

While Togg's deliveries were 4 thousand 145 units for the first quarter, Tesla's sales remained at 375.

In the luxury car cluster, 801 DS, 288 Porsche, 145 Lexus, 68 Maserati, 24 Jaguar, 12 Bentley, 6 Lamborghini, 5 Aston Martin and Ferrari were sold in the first quarter.

Top 5 in light commercial

Looking at the light commercial vehicle segment, Fiat ranked first in the list with sales of 16 thousand 91 units in the first quarter, followed by Ford with 13 thousand 438 and Volkswagen with 6 thousand 258.

Citroen was fourth with 4 thousand 882 sales, and Renault was fifth with 4 thousand 39 units.
