The University Education Support provided by Izmir Metropolitan Municipality to university students in the economic crisis environment was loaded onto the students' Izmir City Cards before the new year. More than 12 million TL was deposited into the accounts.
The first part of the University Education Support, provided in line with the "youth-oriented city" vision of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer, was deposited into the Izmir City Cards of 5 thousand 460 students as 2 thousand 250 TL each. A total of 2023 thousand liras will be paid during the 2024-6 academic year to associate and undergraduate students who apply and qualify for support as a result of the social review conducted by groups affiliated with the Department of Social Services.
Stating that the university education support payment exceeding 12 million TL in total has been made, Leader Soyer said, “Dear young people, let 2024 be a year in which you get closer to your goals and dreams and live your youth to the fullest. 3 months' payment of our education support has been deposited into your accounts. University students are not alone
