South Korean manufacturer Kia introduced the compact electric SUV model EV5 at the Chengdu Auto Show in China. However, we will have to wait until October to learn more details.
We currently have an official photo gallery and some design information included in the press release. According to this information, the new EV5 model is equipped with an interior lighting system with a total of 10 color options, including 64 different colors selected by lighting experts. This lighting system can be synchronized with driving modes, automatically dims in low light conditions and warns the driver if the vehicle's speed limit is exceeded.
According to Kia's press release, the EV5 model is described as a car "designed and engineered to meet the needs of families." With a seating capacity of five, this model aims to offer superior comfort and extraordinary flexibility.
The new EV5 model stands out with its wide front section and solid hood design. It has LED daytime running lights that create a three-dimensional lighting effect. However, dimensions and specifications have not been announced yet.
According to the Korean Car blog, this electric compact SUV model will be equipped with a battery with a capacity of 82 kWh and will offer a driving range of up to 600 km.
