Citroen Type Holidays introduced its campervan

Citroen

Citroën introduced a caravan concept called Type Holidays at the Düsseldorf Caravan Fair. This vehicle combines the iconic Citroën Type H with the modern SpaceTourer.

Type Holidays was designed by Italian body manufacturer Caselani. Caselani has been partnering with Citroën for many years and has created different types of “Neo-Retro” body designs for the brand. Type Holidays is a tribute to Citroën's legendary Type H.

SpaceTourer's modern design adds comfort and functionality to Type Holidays. The interior of the vehicle is designed for four people to travel comfortably.

Type Holidays caters to the "Van Life" trend, which is especially popular with young people. This trend allows people to travel freely with caravans. Type Holidays combines this trend with iconic design and modern features.

Highlights of the vehicle are:

  • The sunroof houses a large bed that can sleep two people in night mode.
  • Two armchairs can be opened side by side to create a comfortable bed for two.
  • The front seats can swivel towards the rear living area.
  • It houses equipment such as a full kitchenette, cooking area, sink and refrigerator.
  • There is a folding table for dining or working, and several cabinets to store things.
  • There is a Webasto heating system to ensure optimum temperature inside the cabin.

While Type Holidays is still in the concept stage, it shows that Citroën wants to be a key player in the caravan market.
