The Most Powerful MG Ever!

Built on MG4's Modular Scalable Platform (MSP), the MG4 Electric XPOWER features an all-new twin-engine configuration that delivers 150 kW-170 HP system power to all four wheels via its front (320 kW) and rear (435 kW) electric motors. The advanced powertrain offers performance that rivals high-performance hatchback models. It also includes advanced new technology updates to effectively distribute power and maximize driver engagement in the corner. The new launch control function makes a significant contribution to performance. With the effect of this system, the new MG4 Electric XPOWER can complete 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.8 seconds.

The new Dynamic Cornering Control System is available for the first time in an MG. This system has a locked electronic differential and Intelligent Engine Control. By routing torque between each of the four wheels, the system provides maximum grip and superior driving stability in different driving conditions. The chassis has been extensively updated, including retuned springs and dampers, stiffer anti-roll bars and sharper steering. With the suspension system stiffened by 25 percent, the popular driving characteristics of the existing MG4 models can adapt to high performance. MG's engineering team also recalibrated the regenerative braking software to allow for single-pedal driving in favorable conditions. Thanks to its increased braking power, MG4 XPOWER achieves a stopping distance of 100-0 km/h in just 33,9 meters. The new Bridgestone Turanza tires, which offer excellent grip levels without sacrificing rolling efficiency, also play a role in this braking performance as well as the air-channeled 345 mm discs.

MG EX4: A Unique Concept for Goodwood

MG also unveiled a new high-performance MG concept during the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Powered by the electrified powertrain systems of MG4 Electric XPOWER, the MG EX4 boldly reinterprets the Metro 1980R6 rally legend of the 4s. Designed by MG's London team, who played a key role in the development of the new MG Cyberster, the EX4 has a unique look designed especially for Goodwood and was prepared to celebrate the 6th anniversary of the Metro 4R40.
