V8 engines are popular among Mustang users

Ford announced that it has received 2024 orders for the 13,000 Mustang. Customers' preferences indicate that versions with V8 engines are more popular. 67 percent of orders received so far are for V8-engined versions, and 33 percent are for turbocharged four-cylinder options. In addition, interest in the six-speed manual transmission is high among customers. 27% of customers preferred the six-speed manual transmission.

“Every time a new Mustang is introduced, we usually see more demand for the V-8,” said Jim Owens, Mustang Brand Manager. Ford has announced that, according to its previous statistics, 50 percent of turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost buyers opt for the High Performance Package, and 22 percent of GT buyers receive the Performance package. In terms of color preferences, Shadow Black was the most popular color with 17 percent, while Oxford White was ranked with 13 percent and Rapid Red with 11 percent.

Prices for the 2024 Mustang start at $32,515 for the entry-level EcoBoost Fastback. The cheapest V8 option, the GT Fastback, retails for $44,090. The top-end model, the Dark Horse, can be purchased for $60,850. Ford plans to begin shipping of the 2024 Mustang next week.
