US-based electric manufacturer Tesla started sales in Turkey last year. Tesla first offered only Model Y for sale in our country.
Models that will enter the Turkish market are produced in Berlin. Model Y exceeded expectations by receiving orders for over 10 thousand units in less than a month since it arrived in Turkey.
Another increase from Tesla
According to the information on Tesla's website, the company increased the prices of all Model Y cars in the USA by a thousand dollars.
Accordingly, the Model Y basic variant was offered for sale at $44, while the long-range and performance variants were priced at $990 and $49, respectively.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk says that increasing prices are essential for production to continue.
On April 23, Tesla decided to reduce car production in its factory in China, in an environment where it was struggling with falling demand and strong competition in the market.
Sources providing details on the subject claimed that company officials asked factory employees in Shanghai in early March to work five days a week and reduce the production of the Model Y sports utility vehicle and Model 3 sedan produced in China.
