Nissan Formula E Team Achieved Historical Success in Tokyo!

Nissan Formula E Team competed in its homeland for the first time in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, achieving pole position and second place in its first Tokyo E-Prix with driver Oliver Rowland.

After consecutive podium finishes in Diriyah and São Paulo, the Nissan team was feeling confident ahead of the series' first race in Japan.

Nissan's British driver Rowland continued his recent performance by setting the fastest time in Group A Qualifying and then went fastest in all three stages of the duels. zamHe achieved his second Julius Baer Pole Position of the season. Rowland, who held the lead for most of the race, dropped to second in order to save energy and attacked for the win in the final laps. Although he came side by side with the leader, he could not regain his position and finished the race in second place.

With this result, Rowland rose to third place in the Drivers' Championship, while Nissan rose to fourth place in the team standings.

Nissan Formula E Team will race for the first time in Misano, Italy, for the 10th and 6th rounds of the 7th season of the championship in the next two weeks.
