Turkey's New Domestic Electric Car Introduced

There has been an important development in Turkey's new domestic electric car industry. Agrotech company took a remarkable step in the automotive industry by purchasing 75 percent of the shares of Joyce Electric Vehicle Technologies. With this acquisition, it was announced that Turkey will produce electric vehicles with 100 percent domestically produced engines, batteries and electronic systems.

Among the newly introduced models is the family-specific "VC3" hatchback model. This electric car, which has a five-door and five-seat structure, combines comfort, elegance and quality in the A00 class. In addition to its smart technologies, it will have a strong charging infrastructure and range.

Another model, “EC5”, stands out as a smart boutique vehicle that prioritizes intelligence and quality. This five-door and four-seat model has an elegant design in the A00 class. The tough SUV model of the series, “EX3”, draws attention with its durable design. This A0 class vehicle with five doors and four seats aims to offer a safe and comfortable ride.

The three-door, four-seater vehicle, which is the latest economical and sharing-encouraging model, offers an ideal option for urban use. Looking at the technical specifications of this new series, it can be seen that all models are front-wheel drive and have a fixed speed transmission.

The vehicle measures 3500 mm in length, 1500 mm in width and 1530 mm in height. Its wheelbase is designed as 2360 mm and it has a 400V platform. 15/30 kW nominal power can be produced by using the permanent magnet synchronous motor type. In these models that use Lithium Ion as the battery pack, the capacity of the battery is 15kWh. The weight of the vehicle is 805 kg.

These new domestic electric vehicles, developed by Joyce Electric Vehicle Technologies, will be launched on October 29. The hatchback model will be offered for sale with a price tag of 699 thousand TL and the commercial model with a price tag of 1 million 199 thousand TL. The factory, which will have an annual production capacity of 200 thousand units, will be established in Tekirdağ.
