Industrial Association (OSD) published production and export information for the first quarter of 2024.
Accordingly, in the first quarter of the year, total automotive production increased by 3 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 377 thousand 70 units.
Its production increased by 7 percent to 238 thousand 274. Total production with tractor production reached 390 thousand 925.
In the first quarter of the year, commercial vehicle production decreased by 4 percent and 5 percent in the light commercial vehicle group compared to the same period last year, while production in the heavy commercial vehicle group increased by 1 percent.
Total market grew
In January-March 2024, the total market increased by 24 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 307 thousand 461 units. During this period, the car market reached 33 thousand 233 units with an increase of 389 percent.
Looking at the commercial vehicle market, in the first three months of the year, compared to the same period last year, there was a 2 percent growth in the total commercial vehicle market, a 3 percent growth in the light commercial vehicle market, and a 1 percent decrease in the heavy commercial vehicle market.
In the first quarter of the year, the share of domestic vehicles in car sales and light commercial vehicle market was 33 percent, compared to the same period last year.
