When looked at on a country basis, EU countries ranked first with a 66,9 percent share in Turkey's automotive exports in the January-March period.
Exports of 3 billion 1 million 6 thousand dollars were made to these countries in 108 months, an increase of 213 percent compared to the same period last year. Thus, EU countries maintained their position as the most valuable market in automotive exports.
Exports to the "other European countries" cluster, which the United Kingdom was included in after leaving the EU, increased by 27 percent to 1 billion 228 million 919 thousand dollars.
1 BILLION 264 MILLION DOLLARS EXPORT TO MAIN MARKET GERMANY
Germany, the main market of the automotive industry, was recorded as the country with the most exports in the first quarter of this year.
Automotive exports from Turkey to Germany, which were 3 billion 1 million 271 thousand dollars in the first 286 months of last year, were calculated as 1 billion 264 million 560 thousand dollars in the same period this year.
The United Kingdom ranked second with 1 billion 21 million 510 thousand dollars.
Again, 3 million 968 thousand dollars of exports were made to EU member France, one of the valuable markets of the automotive industry, in the first 873 months of this year.
In the January-March period of this year, 950 million 367 thousand to Italy, 501 million 645 thousand to Spain, 398 million 589 thousand to Slovenia, 396 million 61 thousand to Poland, 385 million 730 thousand to Belgium and Romania Automotive exports worth 246 million 924 thousand dollars were made.
