Chery Hybrid Technology Offers a Range of 400 Kilometers

China's leading automotive manufacturer Chery is preparing to take its hybrid technology, which it has been working on for a long time, to the roads with the QPower architecture that it introduced in October last year.

Leaving 20 years behind as China's largest automotive exporter, Chery continues to develop its high technology to meet new generation mobility needs.

In this context, Chery, which started R&D studies for hybrid technology approximately 19 years ago, introduced the technological experience it has gained over the years to the world with its QPower architecture in October 2023.

Predefines road conditions

PHEV (Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles) models use super active three-speed DHT technology. This new technology, which includes triple lithium battery packs, smart charging solutions and other technologies, provides users with a quality driving experience with high efficiency, smooth driving, safety and energy saving. Thanks to the adaptive mode, smart PHEV technology can identify road conditions in advance and adapt the optimum power production according to these conditions. Representing the latest point of Chery technology, the engine, transmission and other power-train systems components of the QPower architecture have high performance, low fuel consumption and low emission features.

One of them, PHEV, reaches the industry's best value with a thermal efficiency of over 44,5 percent. The rechargeable hybrid system, consisting of three engines: a 1,5 T engine and two electric motors, has 9 operating modes and 11 gear combinations. While the system offers an extremely smooth driving experience with TSD dual-axis power transmission technology, it also perfectly meets consumers' requirements for performance and fuel economy.

Average consumption is only 4.2 liters

The engine, specially optimized for the 5th generation hybrid system equipped with Infinite Super Electric Hybrid DHT technology, stands out with its superior performance. The engine produces 115 KW maximum power and 220 Nm maximum torque. The advanced hybrid system has a thermal efficiency of up to 44,5 percent, provides a completely electric driving feeling and offers an experience similar to electric vehicles with four driving modes. The drive engine produces 150 KW maximum power and offers a wide range with 98,5 percent EV mechanical efficiency, while providing high efficiency and energy saving. Equipped with these technologies, ARRIZO 8 PHEV offers a range of over 100 kilometers with fully electric driving. The vehicle's battery charges from 30 percent to 80 percent in just 19 minutes (below 25 degrees Celsius). Chery ARRIZO 8 PHEV achieved a fuel consumption value of only 100 liters per 4,2 kilometers according to the WLTC norm, and managed to achieve the best value with a combined fuel consumption of 60 liters per 100 kilometers among the 4,6 hybrid models announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.
