Strong Partnership in Formula 1 from Mercedes-Benz and Williams Racing

Mercedes-AMG has been working with Williams Racing since 2014 and the start of the 1.6-litre V6 hybrid era. After completing its 2023th season in 10, the partnership between Mercedes-Benz and Williams has been extended until the 2030 season. With this agreement, cooperation will last approximately twenty years in 2030. In addition, Williams became the second team that Mercedes-Benz will work with for the new generation power unit regulations that will come into force in 2026.

The new power unit has been developed at Mercedes-AMG High Performance Powertrains in Brixworth since 2022. These power units will hit the track in 2026. Collaborations with strong F1 teams will show what these power units can do and make it possible to further develop them.

What the power unit developed by Mercedes-Benz, in its ongoing collaboration with Williams since 2014, can do was clearly seen at the 2014 Austrian Grand Prix. After Williams' third and fourth places, the teams in the first four places were using the Mercedes-Benz power unit.

114 victories, eight World Constructors' Championships from Mercedes-AMG

Mercedes has achieved great success since returning to Formula 1994, which is considered the pinnacle of motor sports, first as an engine supplier in 2010 and then with the team it created in 1. Since the current power unit regulations came into force, Mercedes-AMG has won 204 victories in 114 Grand Prix, including two with the teams it serves, and eight consecutive World Constructors' Championships.

Williams has also been working with Mercedes since the beginning of the current turbo hybrid era and has achieved 16 podium finishes. During this period, Williams finished third in the World Constructors' Championship in 2014 and 2015 and finished seventh in 2023, having its most successful season since 2017.
