CANDIDATE VOCATIONAL COURT ENTRANCE EXAM ANNOUNCEMENT

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

(1) Career Officers are diplomatic career officers who assume duties, authority and responsibility in the formulation and execution of Turkish foreign policy and perform representation duties abroad, within the framework of the Presidential Decree No. 1 on the Presidential Organization. (5) Those who are entitled to participate in the written or oral phase of the exam but do not participate will not be accepted to the subsequent exam for the same title positions.

II. EXAM APPLICATION CONDITIONS

(1) In order to apply for the exam;

a) To meet the general conditions listed in Article 657 of the Civil Servants Law No. 48 (The Republic of Turkey Identity Card number confirming that you are a Turkish citizen is required to apply for the exam),

b) Being under 01.01.2024 years of age as of 35 (those born on 01.01.1989 and later),

c) Of domestic universities or foreign universities, provided that their diploma equivalence is approved by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK);

(2) Candidate can apply for the Professional Civil Servant Exam from one of the different foreign language categories shown in the table below. (4) Candidates who want to take the exam in one of the language categories other than English, French and German, but do not have a result document for the YDS/e-YDS or foreign language exam whose score equivalence is determined by ÖSYM, can apply to the relevant universities in foreign countries, provided that the diploma equivalence is approved by YÖK. The faculties that provide at least four years of education in the language are listed in II. of this announcement. They can apply for the exam if they have graduated from the departments listed in paragraph (c) of paragraph 1 of the article at the undergraduate level and can document this. These candidates are ranked after those who applied with YDS/e-YDS and equivalent exam results, and their rankings are made according to their undergraduate graduation grade point averages.

Candidates who will be accepted to the written exam will be determined in a separate list for each category, according to their YDS/e-YDS or equivalent foreign language scores, or by taking the undergraduate graduation grade point averages within the framework of the issues recorded in the first paragraph, and must have the minimum language score or above. Applying with a graduation GPA in accordance with the specified conditions does not guarantee the right to participate in the exam.

(5) As a result of the entrance exam, if the number of candidates specified in the table above is not successful in one of the language categories determined for each exam, quotas equal to the number of vacant positions in those language categories may be added to other language categories, not exceeding the total number of announced positions.

(6) Candidates can apply for the Candidate Professional Officer Entrance Exam, which will be held in different language categories, from only one language category.

III. MAKING ENTRANCE EXAM APPLICATIONS

(2) In order to be entitled to receive additional points in the written exam,

– Among the candidates who will take the exam in English, those who have a YDS/e-YDS score of more than 2021 from a second or third language, taken in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 80 until the application deadline, or an equivalent score determined by ÖSYM from international foreign language exams,

– Candidates who will take the exam in languages ​​other than English, in addition to the English exam to be held by the Ministry, must have a YDS/e-YDS score of more than 2021 from a third foreign language in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 70 until the application deadline, or an international foreign language equivalent score determined by ÖSYM. IV. STAGES OF THE EXAM

(1) Written Exam:

a) The written exam will last two days and consist of the following sections.

– Turkish Composition

– Composition in a Foreign Language

– Translation from Foreign Language to Turkish

– Translation from Turkish to Foreign Language

The passing grade in the written exam is 100 out of 70 for each section.

b) Parts of the written exam, other than Turkish composition, will be held in the languages ​​specified in the table above according to language categories.

c) Candidates who will take the exam in languages ​​other than English will also be tested in English by the Ministry. These candidates are required to get at least 60 points from each section in the English exams (composition and translation from Turkish to English).

d) Candidates who will get a passing grade in each section of the written exam will be able to obtain additional points in the written exam according to the following principles:

– The candidate who will take the written exam in English must have a YDS/e-YDS score of a second foreign language in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 until the application deadline, or the YDS equivalent of any international foreign language exam score whose equivalence has been determined by ÖSYM is over 80. The remaining part will be added to the total score, the arithmetic average of which will be taken in the written exam.

The candidate who knows a third foreign language must have a YDS/e-YDS score of this language in 2021, 2022 or 2023 and 2024 until the application deadline, or the YDS equivalent of any international foreign language exam score determined by ÖSYM to be equivalent is above 80. (2) Oral Exam:

a) Candidates who are successful in the written exam will be evaluated primarily in the oral exam in terms of field knowledge, reasoning, comprehension, qualifications and proficiency related to the duty of representation, general cultural level, ability to express in Turkish and foreign languages, and general behavior and reactions in terms of suitability to the requirements of the profession. During the exam, candidates will be asked questions about current international issues.

b) The passing grade in the oral exam is 100 out of 70.
