Dacia is Preparing to Conquer the European Market with SUVs and Large Models

Dacia, which has made a name for itself in the European automobile market in recent years, is preparing to be even more assertive with its new strategy. The Romanian brand managed to become one of the best-selling cars in Europe with its Sandero model. In fact, it became the most preferred car in Europe together with Tesla Model Y.

However, Dacia is turning to SUVs and large models to take this success even further. The brand plans to increase its SUV options by 2025, thus aiming to increase its share and profit margin in the European market. SUVs will also strengthen Dacia's image as affordable and durable cars.

Dacia's SUV Attack: New Duster and Bigster

The first step of Dacia's SUV attack will be the new Duster. The new Duster, which will be introduced at the Geneva Motor Show on February 26, 2023, will be available for sale in 2024. The new Duster will use the CMF-B platform of the Renault-Nissan partnership. This platform will offer Duster more safety, comfort and technology.

The second step in Dacia's SUV attack will be the Bigster. Bigster will be Dacia's first entry into the C-SUV segment. Bigster, which will be released in the second quarter of 2025, will be Dacia's largest and most luxurious model. Bigster will also use the CMF-B platform and reflect Dacia's design language.

Dacia's SUV and large models will be produced at the Piteşti factory in Romania. This factory has the capacity to produce 300 thousand automobiles per year.
