The plot of the movie Atla Gel Şaban tells the horse racing adventures of Niyazi, a poor factory worker. Niyazi becomes interested in horse racing to get rid of his debts to the neighborhood. But he doesn't have money to play horse racing. He fills out a horse race coupon in the minibus on his way to work every day, but does not deposit it. One day, he sees that he has won all the races, but he cannot win because he did not deposit the coupon. A man who noticed this situation informs the mafia boss Kazım about Niyazi. Kazım kidnaps Niyazi and asks him to play horse racing for him. However, Niyazi says that inspiration does not come until he is in the minibus. Kazım's men try to create a minibus environment for Niyazi. Meanwhile, Niyazi falls in love with Kazım's daughter Zehra. Niyazi makes a funny plan to win Zehra and get rid of Kazim.
