Volkswagen presents a dark and impressive design with the Golf Black Edition

Volkswagen has officially introduced the Golf Black Edition equipment, which presents the popular Golf in the UK market with a dark and impressive design. This new hardware is positioned between the R-Line and GTE models in the UK Golf models and has remarkable features.

The Golf Black Edition comes with specially designed 18-inch black wheels. These wheels have five curved spokes called Bergamo and stand out from the edge of the rim in a Y shape. In addition, the tinted windows at the back attract attention as one of the important details.

In the interior, the Winter Package, which includes heated front seats and a heated leather steering wheel, is offered as standard. It also comes with features like a backup camera and LED Plus headlights. Under the hood, there are three different engines offering different power options. These are the options equipped with a 148 horsepower turbocharged 1.5-liter engine, a mild hybrid version with a seven-speed automatic transmission, and a 187 horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter engine.

Golf's future is uncertain

But Golf's future is uncertain at one point. Volkswagen brand head Thomas Schäfer said in an interview in 2022 that no decision has yet been made on the production of the ninth generation of the Golf. This uncertainty is associated with tighter emissions regulations and accelerating the electrification process in Europe.
