First Details of the New BMW X3 Revealed

Despite the transition to the 2024 model year, the BMW X3 is still available as a 2024 model. Therefore, the next-generation BMW X3, which will be sold in the United States, will arrive as a 2025 model.

Our spies closely examined two prototypes that stood out with less camouflage. Both prototypes have production bodies.

The prototype, plated “4072,” featured visual features such as larger two-tone wheels and red brake calipers. Both came without visible exhaust tips, suggesting they may be lower trim levels. It is known that the previously seen M Performance version has a four-outlet exhaust system.

The new BMW X3 (codenamed G45) doesn't seem to deviate from the brand's latest design approach. In particular, it doesn't have excessive details like the huge kidney grille or the split headlights. At the front, the LED daytime running lights in the shape of a boomerang draw attention, as we saw in the X5 and X6 models. On the back, you can see how the "X" motif has been interpreted for the next-gen X5, following the introduction of the updated X3.

The prototypes still have camouflage on the sides, but it's clear that the new X3 has door handles designed for better airflow. Its dimensions are expected to increase slightly because the X1 has now become a larger vehicle.
