Alex Rins, who broke his right leg at Mugello and had surgery, will miss the next two races. He will be replaced by Stefan Bradl.
Rins has not been on the tracks since July. In this process, LCR terminated its contract with Honda and agreed with Yamaha for the next season.
However, Rins continued to be in the LCR Honda garage after the summer break and was expected to return at Misano last week. However, things did not go well for Rins, who had a test in Aragon and it turned out that he could not push as much as he wanted.
This situation left LCR in a difficult situation. The team had to field Takumi Takahashi as neither Iker Lecuona, Stefan Bradl, nor Tetsuta Nagashima were available. However, Takahashi was stuck at the 105% limit in training and could not compete.
There were hopes that Rins could return in India after spending Misano on the sidelines, but the data from the Aragon test suggests it is still early days.
Therefore, the final decision was that Rins would not race in the next two races in India and Japan. Stefan Bradl will take the LCR seat in these two races.
