Ferrari team boss Frederic Vasseur is pleased with Carlos Sainz's performance and victory in the Singapore Grand Prix.
Ferrari's longing for victory, which has been going on since 2022, ended in the Singapore GP and the victory went to Spanish pilot Carlos Sainz.
Sainz made almost no mistakes in the race, which he started from pole position, and achieved victory by making the right decisions.
Vasseur evaluated Sainz's performance with the following words:
“Carlos had the race completely under control. He constantly monitored the situation on the track and, especially in the last ten laps, gave Lando Norris a DRS opportunity, allowing him to defend against George Russell. “This was a very smart strategy.”
Vasseur also evaluated Leclerc's performance:
“Charles did a great job on the first episode. However, due to traffic on pit road after the safety car and pit stop zammoment lost. "If that hadn't happened, he probably would have made it to the podium, too."
Vasseur stated that he was pleased with their victory again and continued his words as follows:
“Of course we are pleased that Ferrari were the team that ended Red Bull's winning streak and gained a lot of points. In this way, we continue to push for second place in the championship.”
Vasseur concluded his words by stating that he was cautious for the race to be held in Suzuka next weekend:
“We know that Suzuka is a completely different circuit and will bring new challenges. However, we will do our best to continue the positive trend.”
