Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers are receiving increasing attention from European brands. Last month, Audi announced that it would purchase technology from SAIC Motor. Subsequently, Volkswagen announced that it had acquired 5% of XPeng.

Volkswagen is now in talks with another Chinese manufacturer, Leapmotor. Leapmotor is known for its electric city car called T03, which was put on sale in our country in the past months. However, Leapmotor, a technology company founded in 2015, also has more advanced models such as the C01 and C11.

The details of the meeting are not yet clear, but it is stated that Volkswagen wants to use Leapmotor's technologies in the Jetta brand in China. The Chinese manufacturer recently announced the electric vehicle platform it developed in-house and announced that it wanted to license it to other brands. Volkswagen or Leapmotor have not made a statement regarding this news, which is not yet official.

Volkswagen's meeting with Leapmotor shows that Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers are gaining more and more interest in the European market. This development will accelerate the growth of the electric vehicle market and give consumers more choice.
