Kalle Rovanpera maintained the lead on the second day of Rally Finland. Despite his disadvantaged road position, Rovanpera managed to score three stage wins and be 3.9 seconds ahead of second placed Elfyn Evans.

Thierry Neuville was in third place, 12.3 seconds behind, Takamoto Katsuta was in fourth place and Teemu Suninen was in fifth place. Toyota team principal Jari-Matti Latvala returned for a one-off with the fourth car, taking sixth place.

Esapekka Lappi, Ott Tanak and Pierre-Louis Loubet have closed the day. Lappi crashed, Tanak had engine failure and Loubet had broken suspension.

For M-Sport, the situation is a nightmare. Tanak is a rally-loving name and was quick enough to take advantage of his advantageous road position. Therefore, it can be said that a potential win has been missed.
