IVECO's statement is as follows;

IVECO will manufacture and market Heavy Duty Class Battery Electric Vehicles and Heavy Duty Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles under the IVECO brand.

The IVECO HD BEV and FCEV models feature a special e-axle designed and manufactured in partnership with FPT Industrial, a specialist in powertrains and IVECO's sister brand. Batteries are supplied by Proterra, fuel cell technology and key components are supplied by Bosch.

These naturally electric vehiclesThanks to its modular structure, it has been designed to support both fuel cell and battery electric technology. The vehicles are based on the specially redesigned IVECO S-Way truck platform.

IVECO HD BEV has a range of up to 500 km. It has a total battery capacity of 350 kWh (738 packs) with a charging power of up to 9 kW. This feature allows for center-to-center delivery missions, various regional applications, even the opportunity to recharge the vehicle during mandatory driver breaks and longer distance rides. The 4×2 tractor configuration will be the first to enter the European market in the last quarter of 2023.

IVECO HD FCEV, up to 800 km has range. With a quick refueling time of less than 20 minutes, it provides the perfect solution for long haul jobs in heavy commercial transport. IVECO HD FCEV can accommodate 700 kg of H70 usable energy at 2 bar pressure. Thanks to its higher mileage compared to an electric vehicle, IVECO HD FCEV is a candidate to be the primary choice in its field, already demonstrating its privilege in long-distance driving with zero exhaust emissions.

IVECO HD FCEV's first vehicles will begin delivery in France, Switzerland and Germany at the end of 2, as planned in the H2023Haul Eurpoean project co-financed by the Clean Hydrogen partnership, which aims to accelerate the use of hydrogen solutions in the commercial transport industry and enable the fuel cell truck market in the coming years.

Both vehicles are produced at the Iveco Group's production facility in Ulm, the Germany-based multi-brand factory. The vehicles will be marketed and supported by the extensive IVECO dealer network covering 254 sales and service points across Europe.
