Nissan is gearing up to introduce an entirely new generation of its Armada SUV.

The current Armada was launched in 2016, but the Y62 Patrol model on which it is based has been in production since 2010. Therefore, the arrival of a new model zamthe moment has come.

A completely refurbished Armada was displayed at the annual dealer conference in Las Vegas.

One dealer claims that the next-gen Armada will have a larger and rougher appearance. Along with redesigned headlights and taillights, it is also said to have a new interior with updated materials and larger screens.

Nissan North America has informed dealers that the next Armada model will be powered by a 424-horsepower biturbo V6 engine transmitted to the wheels via a nine-speed automatic transmission. That's a big change considering the current model's configuration of the naturally aspirated 5.6-liter V8 engine with 400 horsepower and a seven-speed automatic transmission transmitted to the AWD system.

The Patrol model, produced worldwide, could also be reduced in size and added twin turbos. In the Middle East, Nissan sells the high-performance Nismo version of the Patrol with 28 horsepower more, for a total of 428 horsepower, but torque remains the same. The move to a twin-turbo V6 represents a similar situation with Toyota's Land Cruiser 300 and its more luxurious Lexus LX sibling.

What is Nissan's new three-row Armada SUV model for the US market? zamIt's not yet known when it will launch, but a report published in early 2022 suggests that the launch will take place towards the end of 2023.
