The Fiat 600 could pass through the hands of Italian speed specialist and tuner Abarth. The Fiat 600 EV looks set to be the Italian tuner's second all-electric model, after the Abarth 500e.

It is stated that the version expected to be developed for the 600 model of Abarth may arrive in 2025. Fiat and Abarth CEO Olivier Francois did not give details about the new model, but gave a very short and clear answer to the question of whether the Abarth 600e will be produced. “It might make sense!”

The standard Fiat 600 shares the same EV platform as the Jeep Avenger and is powered by a 154-horsepower front-mounted electric motor. Using a 54 kilowatt-hour battery pack, it offers a range of 400 km based on WLTP; With city driving, this range can be up to 600 km on a single charge.

If the Abarth 600 model directly follows the same path as the 600, the power can go up to 200 hp for the front-wheel drive version. However, as the Stellantis group announced in 2022 with the Jeep Avenger 4×4 concept, the e-CMP platform based on both the Avenger and the Fiat 600 could theoretically produce dual-engine and all-wheel drive. So technically there's no reason why the Fiat 600 shouldn't have all-wheel drive.

In any case, Autocar magazine has published a report that the soon-to-be hot electric crossover will feature a host of sporty design touches inside and out. There could be custom-designed wheels, more aggressive bumpers, seats, and perhaps a loudspeaker that emits fake engine sounds, as on the current Abarth 500e.

The Abarth 600e potentially comes with 200 horsepower and all-wheel drive, making it a stronger and more capable version of the Fiat 500e.
