Continuing its tradition of producing the most unique models in automotive history, Citroen celebrates the 3th anniversary of the C20 Pluriel. The C3 Pluriel was launched in May 3, just one year after Citroen's famous C2003. Between 2003 and 2010, a total of 115,097 units were produced at the Villaverde plant in Spain. This small three-door hatchback embodied the mechanical elements of the C3 in different versions, offering a unique car without sacrificing comfort and safety.
The C3 Pluriel has been reinforced with special parts to ensure the safety of the passengers and has driving aids such as ABS and Emergency Brake Assist. In addition, the C3 Pluriel, which offers ample space for four passengers, provided enhanced acoustic and thermal insulation while maintaining the comfort of the brand with its variable structure roof. Offering a panoramic view angle with its large glass areas and wide windshield, the vehicle was as practical as it would be in a vehicle with a fixed roof.
Moved from concept to mass production, wins Convertible of the Year Award
The C3 Pluriel was inspired by the Pluriel concept introduced at the 1999 Frankfurt Motor Show, and with this new vehicle, Citroen succeeded in making the transition from concept to mass production vehicle. With around 150 creative teams working together, the C3 Pluriel successfully brought together the essential elements of the mass-produced car while retaining its original character. C3 Pluriel as a bold and modular tool
The C3 Pluriel became a model in which Citroen stood out as a bold and modular vehicle. The vehicle, which had five different versions in total, offered an unprecedented variety. In its original configuration, it could be used as a hatchback with flowing lines and a spacious interior. The roof could be opened to convert it into a panoramic hatchback and create the feel of an open-top car. The C3 Pluriel, which quickly turned into a convertible thanks to the sunroof, took on the appearance of a spider with the folding of the rear seats. With the tailgate opened towards the bumper, it could transform into a two-seat spider pick-up truck with an open loading area. With these features, the C3 Pluriel stood out as an ideal car for a sense of freedom and different adventures.
Sold in Turkey with 2 different engine options
In Turkey, the C3 Pluriel was offered for sale with 1.4 and 1.6 liter petrol engine options. A semi-automatic gearbox called Sensodrive was offered as standard in its 1.6-liter engine. C3 Pluriel, which draws attention with its vivid colors and variable structure, is considered as a special option for those who want to drive a unique car today and aim to own one of the classics of the future.
