Rolls-Royce Motor Cars broke an annual sales record in 2019 and performed an unprecedented global performance in the company's 116-year history. Commenting on the record sales results, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös said, “This performance is completely different from the previous year's sales success. While celebrating these extraordinary results, we are aware of our commitment to our customers to keep our brand rare and personal. We are happy and proud that we achieved 2019% growth in 25. The worldwide demand for the Cullinan SUV last year achieved this success and is expected to stabilize in 2020. Global Sales Growth
Sales of Rolls Royce models grew throughout the year, with strong customer demand. The company reported significant sales growth in each of its key global markets. North America retained its top-level position (about a third of global sales) and then China and Europe (including the UK). Countries with record sales results included Singapore, Australia, Qatar and Japan.
Strong Demand for All Models
While Phantom remains the company's top product, Dawn and Wraith continue to dominate the relevant sectors; The demand for all three models was high throughout the year.
In the first year of its launch, Cullinan even exceeded the high expectations of its successful launch. The world's leading super luxury SUV has become the fastest selling new Rolls-Royce model in history.
In November 2019, the brand completed the Black Badge family with the addition of Cullinan Black Badge, as well as variants of Ghost, Dawn and Wraith, all sought-after by customers looking for a more individual and rebellious reflection of Rolls Royce.
Farewell to Ghost - But Not Long Term!
2019 brought the end of Ghost production. Throughout its 11-year life cycle - a truly remarkable record for any car - it was the best-selling Rolls-Royce, not only in the Goodwood era, but in the entire history of the brand. Ghost's commercial success has put Rolls-Royce in a position to make huge investments that will increase its production and make it a truly global brand as it is today.
Ghost's successor will be released in mid-2020 after five years of development. With market availability from the fourth quarter, the successor raises the name Ghost and the company itself to a new height of excellence and ambition in design, engineering, materials and driving dynamics.
Bespoke: Jewel in the Crown of Rolls-Royce
Global demand for Rolls-Royce Bespoke reached a new peak in 2019. Rolls-Royce's special ordering department in Goodwood, West Sussex consists of designers, engineers and artisans. Among the special ordering events of the year were the Zenith Collector's Rolls-Royce Ghost Edition. This masterpiece, limited to only 50 examples, was created to illustrate Ghost's remarkable 11-year reign.
The new accessories added to the existing, well-known Bespoke product included the extraordinary Rolls-Royce Champagne Chest.
Trust in the future
With more than 50 powers representing more than 2.000 countries, Rolls-Royce's workforce at Home has been at the highest level since the opening of Rolls-Royce's Center for Global Luxury Manufacturing Excellence in 2003.
This year, a significant amount of new investment has been made in the production facility at Rolls-Royce Home in Goodwood, and both the company's commitment to UK operations and its lively outlook in the coming years have been reaffirmed.
