CHP Chairman Özgür Özel said, "From here, from the capital of peace, I say this to all the opposition, all opposition parties, the İYİ Party and the good people who are members of the İYİ Party, we declare peace from Hacı Bektaş to everyone in Turkey."
Özel, who came to Hacıbektaş district of Nevşehir to participate in the "104th Anniversary Program of Atatürk's Arrival in Hacıbektaş", answered the questions of the press members about the agenda.
A press member said, "In the second decision regarding Can Atalay, '13. It was stated that "it was unanimously voted for him to be sent to the High Criminal Court". How do you evaluate this? Upon the question, Özel said that the decision given yesterday should be read very carefully.
Özel stated that although the decision was taken by the majority of votes against 3 votes in the Constitutional Court, it was sent to the court unanimously for implementation, and continued his words as follows:
“So members of the Constitutional Court say that the decision must be implemented, no matter what.” From now on, not implementing this decision means disregarding the law and the Constitution. Those who do not implement this decision are denying their own existence. Because no matter what the name is, public prosecutor, Supreme Court member, Council of State member, Constitutional Court member, member of parliament, minister, President, Speaker of the Parliament, we all receive our powers from the Constitution. Those who do not recognize the Constitution do not recognize the state, and those who do not recognize the state do the greatest harm to this country. That's why so much has been done so far, but from now on, after this decision, persisting in making mistakes will lead the country to disaster. "Our stance and opinion on this issue is clear and does not change."

Asked about his assessment that the AK Party is still searching for candidates for Ankara and Istanbul in the local elections, Özel reminded that they announced the candidates for Istanbul and Ankara.
Stating that all of Turkey is watching President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's search for a candidate to see if he can nominate a candidate against them, Özel said:
“You all know, all of Ankara is talking. They had 15 people compete against one of them, and 12 people against another, but they cannot find a candidate to oppose them. This is not a situation to be sad about, it is something to be proud of for us. Don't let them be sad. This means that Turkey's two largest cities, Istanbul and Ankara, are governed so well that no candidate can be put forward for the ruling party. The President should be proud of this. I remember that in the past, he was calling us: 'Hey Republican People's Party, who is your candidate?' I will not call out, 'Hey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who is your candidate in Istanbul and Ankara?' Don't be sad, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. This is something to be proud of. We manage these cities so well that you cannot compete with them, and we will continue to manage them well. We manage well not only Istanbul and Ankara, but all the major cities we have. We measure it with satisfaction surveys. What is in the people's hearts is also in our hearts. Gradually in the next week and the following weeks, look, leaves are not moving elsewhere, the Republican People's Party is announcing 150 candidates at every party assembly meeting, five days apart and seven days apart. We will continue to announce our candidates. We manage well, we will continue to manage well.
