Electric Mercedes G-Class will be on the roads soon

G-Class, one of Mercedes-Benz's most iconic models, has undergone a make-up operation.

In this context, the legendary model also gets an electric version for the first time in its history.

The vehicle, which has not undergone many changes in terms of design, reveals the real innovations under the hood.

Mercedes now prefers a 8-liter inline six-cylinder mild hybrid engine instead of a V3.0 engine in the base model.

It will introduce the electric version on April 24

Mercedes will introduce the long-awaited electric G-Class at the Beijing Fair on April 24.

The electric G-Class, which will come with a battery of approximately 100 kWh, has an electricity consumption of around 100-28.7 kWh per 30.3 km, according to Mercedes' statement. This means that it can achieve a range of approximately 320-350 km.

The new electric G-Class will have a quad engine system called G580 with EQ Technology. The vehicle's battery is designed to be waterproof to enable progress in deep waters.

More information about the car will be revealed at the Beijing Auto Show on April 24.
