New decision from Ford: Some electric vehicles have been postponed

Ford, one of the world's largest manufacturers, has decided to put the brakes on electric vehicle production.

The company has postponed some electric vehicles, including the long-awaited three-row SUV model.

Will focus on battery production

The company stated that it will use the time arising from the postponements to benefit from developing battery technologies.

Ford announced that it has postponed its electric three-row SUV model to 2027. The unnamed SUV was planned to enter production from 2025.

In addition, the new generation electric pick-up, codenamed "T3", was postponed from the end of 2025 to 2026.

On the other hand, the company also underlined that it will now focus more on hybrid models. Despite this, the company will continue its investments in electric vehicles.

Ford also managed to record a 2024 percent increase compared to the first quarter of 38 by selling 421 thousand 2023 hybrid vehicles in the first three months of 42. The company's electric vehicle sales increased by 86 percent year on year.
