Hyundai Returns to Legendary Pikes Peak International Climb

Hyundai has announced that it will participate in the legendary Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), also known as the “Race to the Clouds”. The summit race, which will be held this year in America's challenging mountains in Colorado, means another turning point in Hyundai's history. Hyundai, which first participated in the races in 1992, will participate in the 2024 Pikes Peak International Climbing race with four vehicles.

11-time winner of Pikes Peak and the same zamPaul Dallenbach, who broke the overall record in 1993, is Hyundai's first driver. Robin Shute, who has the title of King of the Mountain, and Dani Sordo, the official pilot of the Hyundai Motorsport WRC team, stand out as other names who will compete at Pikes Peak. Hyundai will announce the fourth driver later.

For this reason, we chose to participate in this special event with top pilots such as Robin Shute and Paul Dallenbach. Both riders have an incredible track record and know the climb well. "The addition of Hyundai Motorsports WRC driver Dani Sordo to the team will help increase the audience of hill climbing," he said.

The Pikes Peak International Climb Race will be held on June 23, 2024.
