Japanese mobility giant Suzuki continues to expand its GSX product family. The new GSX-8R, the newest model of the brand represented by Doğan Trend Otomotiv in Turkey, is offered for sale with a price of 539 thousand TL. Reflecting the nature of a sports motorcycle, the new GSX-8R zamIt now brings with it new generation features and technologies.
The new GSX-8R stands out as Suzuki's newest model using its new 270cc parallel twin-cylinder engine with a 776-degree crankshaft configuration. The steel chassis and separate aluminum auxiliary chassis, cast aluminum wheels and dual radially mounted front calipers, designed to contribute to the straight-line stability and agile handling characteristics of the model, stand out as common features with the new GSX-8S.
However, key component changes such as lower handlebars and full fairing and SHOWA suspension give the GSX-8R a sportier stance, while the chassis and flexible, free-revving engine features enable riders to exploit the vehicle's full potential for maximum satisfaction.
Seductive engine performance
Suzuki's well-earned reputation for parallel twin engines continues in the GSX-8R. The 776-degree positioning of this 270 cc engine, which has a compact structure, enables it to have a power output similar to the V-cylinder structure.
Producing a maximum power of 8500 PS at 83 rpm, the engine offers impressive performance by producing 6800 Nm of maximum torque at 78 rpm. Equipped with Suzuki Cross Balancer technology, this engine offers seductive power with an extremely smooth and balanced throttle response.
The engine's long-pass iridium spark plugs help increase combustion efficiency. Cooling system inlet control, which is the greatest requirement for performance use, helps maintain consistent engine temperature and eliminates idle instability while warming the engine in cold weather.
The six-speed transmission in the new GSX-8R provides smooth shifting capability and improved controllability. Suzuki Clutch Assist System (SCAS) helps reduce fatigue on long rides and also contributes to a smoother gear shifting ability. Thus, users' comfort and performance expectations are met at the same time.
