Team Peugeot TotalEnergies announced the new team and drivers that will compete in the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

The 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) will kick off with the official opening ceremony in Qatar on 24-25 February.

Team Peugeot TotalEnergies has started the final preparations for the new season, which has only a few days left. The team is determined to continue improving in the new season. With the addition of Stoffel Vandoorne last year, the team had the opportunity to examine the pilot line-ups of the two Peugeot 9X8 cars participating in the WEC. The team is meticulously handling every detail for the championship, which will experience an intense competitive environment this year.

Team Peugeot TotalEnergies is completed by Malthe Jakobsen as reserve driver. The young Danish pilot will continue to grow with the team in 2023 after being named Official Young Pilot in 2024. After the opening race, the team's pilots will take to the track in the first race of the season in the first leg of the 2 FIA World Endurance Championship, which will be held in Qatar on March 2024. In the new season, Mikkel Jensen, Nico Müller and Jean-Eric Vergne will come together in the number 93 Peugeot 9X8. Paul Di Resta, Loic Duval and Stoffel Vandoorne will pilot car number 94.

Making evaluations about the team and the championship, Peugeot Sport Technical Director Olivier Jansonnie said, “FIA WEC standards are so high that you cannot afford to neglect any aspect. That's why we tried to improve everything we could in the off-season. The structure of teams is an important piece of the puzzle. After reviewing race and testing data, we saw that we could fine-tune the lineups. We are fortunate to have six extremely talented pilots. That's why we decided to optimize each car by grouping pilots according to their setup preferences. Our goal is to achieve better performance.” said.
