The eighth generation New BMW 5 Series Sedan model, the pioneer of the Business Sedan segment with a history of more than fifty years of BMW, of which Borusan Otomotiv is the distributor in Turkey, was selected in the Women's Worldwide Car Of The Year (WWCOTY) competition, which consists of an international jury consisting only of female automotive experts. It was chosen as the Car of the Year in the 'Large Car' category.

14 female automotive journalists from 5 countries on 52 continents voted in the jury of the awards, which were held for the 75th time this year. The New BMW 5 Series Sedan, which offers its renewed design, innovative technologies and the all-electric driving option for the first time in the same body, won the grand prize with its safety, driving, comfort, efficiency, environmental impact and price performance.

BMW 5 Series, one of BMW's most well-known and preferred models all over the world, appeared before car enthusiasts in a brand new form with its eighth generation. The new BMW 5 Series Sedan was offered to the consumer for the first time with its fully electric version. The car, which will hit the roads in Turkey in the last quarter of 2023, takes its place at Borusan Otomotiv Authorized Dealers with the Mild hybrid-diesel New BMW 520d xDrive and the fully electric New BMW i5 eDrive40 and New BMW i5 M60 versions.
