Minister Kacır Visited TRNC's Domestic and National Automobile GÜNSEL

Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır came to TRNC to see GÜNSEL, the local and national car of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and inspected the production facility. Previously, Dr. Mehmet Fatih Kacır, who also attended the opening of the Suat Günsel Mosque, came to GÜNSEL with his Togg brand official vehicle.

At GÜNSEL, Near East University Founding Rector Dr. Suat İrfan Günsel, Near East Formation Board of Trustees and GÜNSEL Chairman of the Board of Directors Prof. Dr. Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, who was welcomed by İrfan Suat Günsel and GÜNSEL Board members, was accompanied by TRNC Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoğlu. After the test drive with GÜNSEL's first model, B9, Kacır inspected GÜNSEL Production Facilities on the Near East University campus and received detailed information about GÜNSEL's development process, design and engineering features and mass production plans.

Mehmet Fatih Kacır: “As the Republic of Turkey, we were proud of every success achieved by the Turkish Cypriots in every field and in every subject. I believe that we will experience the same pride with the mass production of GÜNSEL.”

Making a statement after his test drive with GÜNSEL B9, Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır emphasized that he liked GÜNSEL's unique design and said, "I used a vehicle that I felt was ready for sale even though it was a prototype."

Mehmet Fatih Kacır said, “As the Republic of Turkey, we were proud of every success achieved by the Turkish Cypriots in every field and in every subject. "I believe that we will experience the same pride with the mass production of GÜNSEL," he said. Stating that he liked the design of GÜNSEL very much, Minister Kacır said, “It was developed especially considering the needs of families and has a design that is preferred in the city. I also find that cost-effectiveness and easy accessibility are among the main focuses of design. "The unique design increases the value of GÜNSEL even more," he said.

Emphasizing Turkey's experience in automotive, Kacır noted that this experience was crowned with Togg and wished that GÜNSEL, which was brought to these days with a development and design-oriented approach, would integrate with Turkey's experience and knowledge.

Pointing out the stages of the automotive development process, Turkish Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır said, “Although it was a prototype, I used a vehicle that I felt was ready for sale. “This was a truly gratifying experience,” he said.

Stating that he found GÜNSEL's color choices very successful, Mehmet Fatih Kacır congratulated those who contributed to the project by saying, "Each of the color choices of the red of our flag, the blue of our homeland, the green of Cyprus, the sky blue and the stone gray have very special meanings."
