BYD introduced the SEAL U model positioned in the D-SUV segment. The car, which has full electric and rechargeable hybrid versions, will come with a rechargeable hybrid system that will be available for sale in Turkey for the first time in Europe.
While SEAL U's battery supports 18 kW DC fast charging, the car completes 0-100 km/h acceleration in 9.1 seconds. The final speed of the vehicle is stated as 170 km/h.
BYD's D-SUV model has a length of 4.775 mm, a width of 1.890 mm and a height of 1.670 mm. In the model with a 2.765 mm wheelbase, the trunk volume can be expanded from 552 liters to 1.440 liters.
IT WILL COME WITH 1080 KILOMETERS RANGE
According to the statement, the new SUV model of the Chinese brand combines a four-cylinder, 72kW, 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a 145 kW electric motor.
SEAL U, which has an 18.3 kWh Blade Battery, offers an average electric range of 80 kilometers according to WLTP measurements when charged. This range goes up to 110 kilometers in the city. The combined range of the vehicle is announced as 1080 kilometers.
SEAL U has a rotatable multimedia screen like the Atto 3 model, which is currently on sale in Turkey.
The 15.6-inch electrically rotatable multimedia screen can be used in landscape or portrait format according to the preference of the occupants. In addition, a 12.3-inch driver display with a lot of information is also offered in the vehicle.
SEAL U' will hit Türkiye's roads as of the second quarter of 2024.
