McLaren Celebrates its 60th Anniversary with Special Colors and Stripes

McLaren is introducing a new color and stripe package to commemorate 60 years of motorsport history. This package includes three new colors and a special stripe design symbolizing McLaren's greatest achievements. Those who order this package will receive a limited edition 750S model marked with a special logo.

McLaren's Three Great Victories

Since McLaren was founded by Bruce McLaren in 1963, it has achieved many victories in motorsport's most prestigious races. Among these races, three major victories called the “Triple Crown” stand out. These are the Indianapolis 500, Monaco Grand Prix and Le Mans 24 Hours races. McLaren has the title of being the only team to win all three races.

These three major victories form the basis of McLaren's new color and stripe package. The pack includes a specially selected color for each victory. These colors are:

  • Indy Orange: This is the color of the McLaren M1974C with which Johnny Rutherford won the Indianapolis 500 in 16. This victory is McLaren's first and only victory in this race.
  • Monaco White: This is the color of the McLaren MP1984/4 with which Alain Prost won the Monaco Grand Prix in 2. This victory is the first of McLaren's 15 victories in this race.
  • Le Mans Grey: This is the color of the McLaren F1995 GTR in which JJ Lehto, Yannick Dalmas and Masanori Sekiya won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1. This victory is McLaren's only victory in this race.

Special Ribbon Design

These three colors can be ordered for the McLaren 750S model. This model is the most powerful of McLaren's production supercars. This model has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. This engine produces 750 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds. Its maximum speed is 340 km/h.

Along with these colors, customers can also choose a custom stripe design. This stripe design starts from the middle of the vehicle's hood and extends to the rear wing. The stripe design includes McLaren's “Triple Crown” logo and graphics depicting the year of each victory. This stripe design will be in a color that matches the color of the vehicle.

This color and stripe pack will only be produced in 60 units. Those who order this package will have a 750S model marked with a “Triple Crown” logo located under the rear wing of the vehicle, contrasting with the color of the vehicle.
