New Dacia Duster is Inspired by the Bigster Concept

The new generation Dacia Duster is one of the most anticipated cars of 2024. The news that it will be produced in Turkey also increases this curiosity. So, what will the new Duster, previously caught on camera under heavy camouflage, look like?

It has been known for a long time that the new Duster will take its design lines from the concept called Bigster. This gives Duster a more imposing and muscular appearance. We can see this more clearly from the visuals that appear for a short time. The images in our news are not official, but they look very compatible with the details in the camouflage photos.

When we look at the front of the new Duster, the traces of the Bigster are clearly evident. The muscular engine hood gaining height at the edges, Y-shaped daytime LEDs, the new logo and thin grille with horizontal stripes, vertical air intakes, the gray protection plate surrounding the central air intake and the round fog lights are among the striking details in this area.

New Dacia Duster Will Be a Dynamic and Stylish SUV

The muscular appearance of the new Duster continues on the side. Wide front and rear fenders are accompanied by black plastic dodiks, which are indispensable for SUVs. We see that the rear door handles are hidden in the C pillar of the compact SUV, where the shoulder line rises towards the rear, giving it a more dynamic appearance. There is still no sunroof on the ceiling, which has black roof rails.

The rear section of the third generation Duster is also very similar to the Bigster concept. The shape of the trunk spoiler, Y-shaped taillights, the location of the license plate and the structure of the rear bumper were taken directly from the concept study and applied to Duster. Finally, dual-color alloy wheels are among the details that complete the stylish design of the new Duster. The tested prototypes had 215-inch wheels surrounded by 65/17 tires.

New Dacia Duster Will Offer Hybrid Engine Option

The new Duster will be built on the CMF-B platform. The compact model's transition to this platform means that it has the flexibility to use hybrid power units. We already see that the phrase Hybrid 140 is included in one of the images.

This hybrid system, used for the first time by Dacia in the Jogger, consists of a four-cylinder 90-liter gasoline engine producing 1,6 hp, two electric motors (a 50 hp engine together with a high-voltage starter generator) and four gears connected to the internal combustion engine and two gears connected to the electric motor. It consists of an advanced solution, including a multi-speed automatic transmission.

In addition to the hybrid engine option, the new Duster is expected to offer gasoline and diesel engine options. It is also said that the new Duster will also have a 4×4 version. The new Duster is planned to be introduced in the first half of 2024 and will be offered for sale in Turkey.
