The only expectation of Leclerc from Monza is the podium

After disappointment over the weekend at Zandvoort, Ferrari is working to make up for its mistakes and return to the title fight.

The team performed less competitively than expected, mainly due to stability and braking issues. Charles Leclerc crashed in qualifying on Saturday, unable to start the race, and had to withdraw from the race on Sunday due to floor damage.

The team will hit the track at their home Monza this week and will be under pressure to perform well in front of their fans.

Leclerc said the following about the lessons to be learned from Zandvoort:

“The inconsistency of the car makes it really difficult to drive, especially on tracks that require a little more downforce. We're going through big balance changes on the same corner, it's very difficult as a driver not knowing what balance to get from which corner. That's what we need to work on right now.”

“As for Monza, the track is not exactly Spa-like, but the track features are closer to Spa compared to Zandvoort and Budapest. So we have to be a little more competitive, but I don't know if our performance will be enough for the podium challenge."

“But I really hope so. We will certainly do everything for that.”

To perform better at Monza, Ferrari will have to address stability and braking issues. If the team can resolve these issues, they could re-enter the title fight.
