Two key models introduced by Mini for 2023 are the manual transmission John Cooper Works Bulldog Racing Edition and the electric Cooper EV.

The John Cooper Works Bulldog Racing Edition is a symbol of Mini saying goodbye to manual transmissions. This particular model has a turbocharged 231-liter four-cylinder engine producing 320 horsepower and 2.0 Nm of torque and comes with Remus exhaust and a six-speed manual transmission. It also stands out with its adjustable KW V3 suspension and 17-inch OZ HyperGT wheels equipped with Pirelli P Zero tires. The interior has no rear seats to reduce weight.

Mini Cooper EV is a new model that joins the brand's electric vehicle portfolio. This model is offered in two trim levels, E and SE. The base model uses a 181-horsepower electric motor and comes with a 304 kWh battery with a WLTP estimated range of 40.7 km. The more powerful SE version has 214 horsepower and is equipped with a 402 kWh battery with a WLTP estimated range of 54.2 km.

Mini CEO Stefanie Wurst announced that the brand plans to participate in electric vehicle races in the future. Wurst said that they expect to see what kind of electric motorsports will be successful in the future, and stated that they expect the development of a platform they plan to participate in in this field.

These moves of Mini show that the brand aims to accelerate its transition towards electric vehicles and continue to offer performance models.
