2024 Porsche Panamera: Next Generation Internal Combustion Engine Luxury Sedan
Following the launch of the all-electric Taycan in 2019, the future of Porsche's internal combustion engine model, the Panamera, remained uncertain. However, the German luxury brand announced that another generation of the Panamera model will be produced.
The next-generation Panamera will hit the market in the first quarter of 2024. Autocar magazine had the opportunity to test an early prototype and discovered some technical specifications.

The new Panamera will have a longer wheelbase and larger rear doors. This will allow for easier entry and exit to the rear seats. In addition, thanks to the newly developed foam-filled steel elements, the vehicle will have a more rigid structure compared to its previous generation.
The next-generation Panamera will be built on the MSB architecture and will feature a fully variable torque distribution all-wheel drive system with rear-wheel steering. Two-section air suspension will be offered as standard, and a single-section suspension option will be offered as an option, which includes more responsive dual-stage shock absorbers inherited from the 2024 Cayenne.
Engines
In addition to the traditional internal combustion V6 and V8 versions of the Panamera, at least four plug-in hybrid models will be offered. A new high-end equipment level called "Turbo E-Hybrid", which will replace the Turbo S E-Hybrid model, will produce a total of 650 horsepower. This model will feature an updated twin-turbo-powered V8 engine and an electric motor integrated into an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
