Part ways with Alan Permane and Otmar Szafnauer at Alpine

Alpine announced that after the Belgian Grand Prix weekend, it has parted ways with two important names in the team for a long time. Coach Alan Permane and team principal Otmar Szafnauer stepped down from their duties on Sunday evening.

Permane had been with Alpine since 1993 and was one of the seniors on the team. Szafnauer, on the other hand, has been with the team since 2017 and was the name that led the team's return to F1.

It is claimed that there was a great chaos within the team after Alpine parted ways with these two names. It is claimed that the name that will end this chaos is Ferrari's ex-team boss Mattia Binotto.

Speaking to Sky Sports, commentator Martin Brundle said that Binotto could be Alpine's new team principal. Brundle said, “I've heard that rumor too. This is a really funny place because a rumor comes out and quickly turns into reality. This is not an unlikely rumour. Binotto has a lot of experience at Ferrari and knows how to manage an F1 team. Of course, things didn't go as planned at Ferrari, otherwise he would still be there. Again, I wouldn't be surprised if this claim turns out to be true." said.

For the time being, Bruno Famin undertakes this task at Alpine. Famin has been with the team since 2018 and served as assistant coach.
