BMW CEO Oliver Zipse has announced that the company's new electric car platform, Vision Neue Klasse, will be available from 2025. Zipse said the platform is "nothing but the future of the BMW brand, the BMW Group and our portfolio."

The Vision Neue Klasse is the latest in BMW's line of visionary concept vehicles. It follows the sustainability-focused i Vision Circular, previously presented at the 2021 Munich show, and the digital-focused i Vision Dee, showcased at this year's CES in Las Vegas.

BMW has announced that the first models based on the Vision Neue Klasse platform will be a sedan and an SUV, approximately the size of the 3 Series. He also said that the platform will also be used for other models, including a performance-focused M version.

Zipse says the Vision Neue Klasse platform will form the basis of BMW's electric car fleet. The platform will increase the performance, range and efficiency of the company's electric cars. It will also make BMW's electric cars more affordable.

The introduction of the Vision Neue Klasse platform marks an important milestone in BMW's electric car strategy. The platform will enable the company to maintain its leading position in the electric car market.
