Trial production of the updated Tesla Model 3 begins
Chinese media reported that trial production of the updated Tesla Model 3 has begun at the Gigafactory factory in Shanghai. The first electric car to undergo the makeover operation will enter mass production in September and the first deliveries will be made in October. Model 3 Highland is priced at 200.000 yuan, or $27.700.
Battery details
The updated sedan will be equipped with a M3P type lithium-manganese-iron phosphate battery pack supplied by CATL. The capacity of the battery pack will be 66 kWh. CATL will reportedly supply Tesla with lithium-ion batteries by the end of 2025. However, the company has not yet confirmed this information.
Variants of the Model 3 Highland
Rear-wheel drive and long-range variants of the Model 3 Highland will be delivered first. For this, the months of October and November are indicated.
