Renault has officially announced its new SUV for the Americas. The first hint image and details came from the model, whose name was announced to be Kardian. We have to wait until October 25 to meet the new French. The official launch will be held in Rio de Janeiro.

The French manufacturer states that Kardian will help “open up to markets outside of Europe”. Although all the details of the vehicle are not clear for now, there are a few "claims" that we can share with you.

For example, the model is said to be a Renault version of the Dacia Sandero Stepway. When Dacia updated Sandero in 2020, it introduced a more aggressive-looking Stepway version. The popular model continues to be sold in our country today.

In the published hint image, we can only see the Renault logo and the Kardian text below it. Even with this part, the model, which reminds Sandero Stepway, does not seem to disprove the claims. Kardian will be available in South America.

Of course, we do not have details about the engine options of the model. However, we do not expect the model to be sold with electric units in South America. However, the model may have internal combustion petrol and diesel options. Dacia will start electrifying its own family after 2025.
